Since 1973, Dundalk Simon Community has offered opportunity and hope to local people.
As the largest organisation serving those at-risk and homeless in the north-east of Ireland, Dundalk Simon Community changes lives by providing a wide range of services and support to as many as 100 individuals a day.
More than a place to stay we provide 24/7 emergency accommodation, crisis shelter, transitional and social housing, along with comprehensive daycentre services.
To do all this, we rely on donations for more than one-quarter of our €1 million annual operating budget.
Our doors are open to adults over 18 years of age regardless of gender, civil status, family status, age, race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, membership of the Traveller community, or the circumstances that have brought them to our doors.
Who We Help
Dundalk Simon provides a diverse range of services to adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in the north-east, the majority of whom are dealing with alcohol/drug addiction. This includes people who perceive themselves to be at risk of homelessness, people facing social isolation, and ex-service users –
The majority of people who use our services are single women and men (both single addiction and dual diagnosis), elderly men and women previously homeless with chronic physical and mental health issues, young people aged 18-23yrs, and individuals with a disability.
