Furniture Restoration Project

In June 2015 we started a Furniture Restoration Project in our Seatown Day Centre and it has proved to be extremely popular with some of our members. Major thanks has to go to Ro Curtis for her amazing talent and unwavering patience, and giving up her valuable time to us. All of the furniture has been sourced from our local Simon Shop in Yorke Street and the lads have had great fun ‘upstyling’ some lovely pieces.

Before and After

This project has been a great outlet for our members and the pride they have taken in their work has been amazing to witness.

An old treasure transformed.

This project had been planned as a Summer activity but it has proved so popular we have decided to carry on with it indefinitely.

A quirky addition to any home

All of the lovingly restored furniture is returned to our Simon Shop to be resold, as the old saying goes…. “One mans junk is another mans treasure”
