We need your help and there is no shortage of ways in which you can help. You can share your talents, skill and expertise as a volunteer; you can fundraise in your own community. You can run, walk, sing, or Stock the Shop for Simon. You can make direct financial contribution, if you’re able – for we are struggling to make ends meet and a donation, no matter how small, will be expended wisely.
It is also important to learn about homelessness so that you can be part of the solution to end homelessness and fight the stigma experienced by people who are vulnerable.
Making a donation to Dundalk Simon
For every €1 that you donate, we spend 95c on our services and 5c on administration and fundraising costs.
Stocking the Yorke Street Shop
Your unwanted items may be someone else’s treasures! Hold a clothing/furniture collection in your school, college or community. You can also select a seasonal theme like Winter Woollies or put together a Welcome Pack of toiletries. This will help us to address the basic needs of people accessing our services. Your collection will also help fund our existing services by increasing sales in our shop in Yorke Street. Contact us on 042 933 9583 to organise your collection today!
Leaving a Legacy
Including a bequest for Dundalk Simon enables us to plan for the future. Wills and bequests play a critical part in ensuring that we continue to provide the highest quality services possible to people who experience the tragedy that is homelessness. For more information please seek legal advice or contact us on 042 933 9583.
You can help Dundalk Simon raise vital funds to support people who are homeless. From hosting a coffee morning to running a marathon, we are asking individuals, schools, companies, groups and communities to hold or take part in a fundraising event in aid of Dundalk Simon. Whatever you want to do, we are here to support you so please contact us for details about how you can get involved.
Volunteers are a central part of the Simon Community. Your impact as a volunteer allows us to provide the best service and support to our service users.
