Volunteer with Us
Thank you for your interest in the Dundalk Simon Community!
We need your help and there is no shortage of ways in which you can help. You can share your talents, skill and expertise as a volunteer; you can fundraise in your own community. You can run, walk, sing, or Stock the Shop for Simon. You can make a direct financial contribution, if you’re able – for we are struggling to make ends meet and a donation, no matter how small, will be expended wisely.
It is also important to learn about homelessness so that you can be part of the solution to end homelessness and fight the stigma experienced by people who are vulnerable.
Volunteers are a central part of the Simon Community. Your impact as a volunteer allows us to provide the best service and support to our service users. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please email your interest to info@dundalksimoncommunity.com. Please note that all volunteers need to be over the age of 18 to work with us.
The Process:
Volunteer candidates must follow the process below prior to beginning their volunteer placement:
- Submit your interest by email
- Attend an interview
- Attend an orientation session
- Submit to Garda Vetting
We also need volunteers for one-off events such as the Simon Bag Packs, Church Gate Collections and Sleep-Out. Please contact us on 042 933 9583 if you have any time available.
